MARKETING AND SALES HEAD

Scuba Divers Australasia, quality of the magazine attracts a high readership of active and enthusiastic divers. Scuba Diver Australasia also covers the best dive spots from the Pacific to Australia and beyond, revealing the oceans’ natural spectacles, sharing new discoveries, highlighting environmental issues and addressing the most pertinent diver-focused topics. Now we are looking for a talented candidate to join with us as Marketing and Sales Head.
- To develop and deliver an advertising sales strategy for magazine and team. Persuading clients to buy advertising space
- To ensure that all advertising revenue streams are maximized
- To achieve targeted revenue
- Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting them
- Offering a price and negotiating around it
- Closing the deal and recording the details
- Develop creative program solutions, category packages, and client specific proposals.
- Responsible for program development (ie: *big ideas-) and their execution
- Collaborate closely with the editorial team for content alignment to ensure cross-platform program execution and success
- Proactively manage and ensure success at all stages of the sales cycle, including competitive analysis, prospecting development, deal and concept ideation, closing business, and servicing accounts
- Execution of strategy for event programs
- Maintain and develop relation ship with diving community
Requirements:
- Outstanding communication skills; ability to influence at senior levels
- 5 + years of progressive experience leading product management, marketing and sales
- Creative marketer with a strong aesthetic sense and multi-media experience
- Demonstrated success in building a brand
- Ability to liaison closely with editorial team
- Depth of knowledge of digital ad sales or digital integrated marketing
- Contract negotiation Certified Diver is a benefit
