PASTRY CHEF
BASIC FUNCTION:
- Manages controls, operates and supervises the Pastry Staffs assigned to him, under the direct guidance and instructions from the Executive Chef within the guidelines, Policies and Procedures of Imperial Aryaduta Hotel & Country Club.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes and maintains professional and effective communication within the whole Food & Beverage Department.
- Professionally active and corrects the staffs in his assigned area.
- Takes a professional self interest to constantly maintain a high standard of food preparations, controlling cost and wastage, reduces any loss and breakage of operating equipment by enforcing preventive Policies and Procedures.
- Ensures the staffs report duty punctually in appropriate attire and grooming standard.
- Reports to the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef for corrective disciplinary action to his staff, fairly and professionally to maintain a high level of staff moral and discipline the department.
- Prepares duty roster as per established business patterns under the guidance of the Executive Chef.
- Responsible to maintain the kitchen in the highest hygienic conditions and that equipment are well maintained.
- Assists Executive Chef to conduct training classes and follow up to ensure highest possible standard of food preparation.
- Receives food orders, announces accordingly and checks every dish of its taste, presentation and portion size as established.
- Aware of the Hotel regulations, Policies and Procedures in regard to hygiene, discipline, fire and safety.
- Responsible to keep wastage and spoilage at a minimum by constantly check the refrigerators and food production according to operation requirements and avoid over stock of goods.
- Reports duty on hours assigned by the Executive Chef.
Qualification and Experience:
- Have minimum 2 years experience in the same position (hotel industry)
- Required language(s): English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Willing to work as a team and also able to work independently
- Placement: Lippo Village, Karawaci
